MARGARET OF ANJOU HN2012 (9 INCHES HIGH) Margaret of Anjou (1430-1482) was the Queen of Henry VI. She came to England when there was no love lost between the two countries. When her husband\'s side (Red Rose) lost in the War of the Roses, he was murdered and she was imprisoned in the Tower of London.
This is one of a set of eight figurines by Peggy Davies in 1948 designed to illustrate important women in English history between 1080 and 1860. They were designed, modelled and decorated in styles that depicted faithfully the costumes and colors of the period represented. These figurines were discontinued in 1953.
