On offer is this extremely sought
after ART DECO Pattern
Part COFFEE SET
consisting of :-
Coffee Pot
Milk Jug
Sugar Bowl
4 Cups & saucers
The Pattern dates to 1931 and was
registered that year,with
the number RD 764873
It shows unfurled fern
leaves in Red,Yellow & Green,
against the Honeyglaze background.
The shapes of the pieces are
so in tune with the
Art Deco period.
The condition of the set reflects
the period of manufacture,and Crazing being the distraction.
There is only a fleabite to the
inside of the Pot lid,which created
a 2 cms hairline (photo 17).
There are No other Cracks or Chips
to any piece. As mentioned earlier,
the Crazing is shown to most pieces,
and extends to the inside of all
of them. The Cups seem to have suffered most, but none of them
are showing signs of leaking.
