$2500.00

I will palatalize this and deliver it to a local trucking company you prepay the shipping. The number 24199 89332 on the yoke just above the bell both sides. Number 19829 on the cast iron clinger handle. er Locopilot750 writes me \"That\'s a Baldwin bell then I have a Baldwin Loco Co. Philadelphia on a couple CD\'s Here is what the numbers on the bell mean,if I am seeing them correctly in the photo. In there code, 10 means total number of wheels on the rail, the 28 is there code for 17\" diameter cylinders (kinda small) the fraction 1/4 means it had two trucks, so a leading and trailing truck. The D means it had three drive axles. The # 162 means it was the 162nd loco they constructed for anybody with this classification. So with a truck at each end, and six drive wheels means it was a 2-6-2, with 17\" cylinders. I looked at the list of loco\'s in that particular classification. All these engines in this classification were small engines, built for lumber, logging, mining and timber company\'s, mostly small of one of just a few engines, yours # 162 shows to be built for a Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in June of 1923 ( This is based on the photos, and I hope I read the #\'s right, 10 28 1/4 D 162). The only thing missing would be the actual road # of the PG&E engine, and it can be crossed up by the construction # on the builder\'s plate, and for some reason they didn\'t write it down on the old hand written page, but was a one engine order. I dug further, and found out that was PG&E\'s engine #4, It was sold to Key System as there #4 then it went to AT&SF as there #2447, then Modesto & Empire as there #9, in 1945. This all cam from the Baldwin \"index\" It\'s construction # should be 56728, it had 17 cylinders with a 24\" stroke and 44\" drivers. Thank you locopilot750
