Thanks for looking at my listing. This is a rare 4 person Albany cutter sleigh. Some people call it a Swan sleigh or a Swiel. Whatever you like to call it this sleigh dates to the 1800\'s and has been in storage for over 50 years. Obviously it has had an exterior red repaint however interior carpet and side panels are still original to the sleigh. It is solid and very sound and could be hitched up and pulled as it sits with a blanket over the rear seats. Look at the condition of the wooden eagles heads andadditionally the front leather elephant wings are still there.Usuallythese are damaged orlong gone. These sleighs were quite expensive for the time and usually built for the wealthy. With the curved body lines and the curved dash they didn\'t hold up well. This is a chance for you to own a piece of American art. That\'s what these sleigh are with there beautiful lines. I also have the shafts for this sleigh. The sleigh can be seen before you offer if you like, just ask. Located in Glen Cove New York which is on Long Island. Locally delivery is available for a fee.
