Up for sale is an early Americanshako brass plate. The brass plate has an eaglein flight clutching in its beak a ribbon bow and tassels, attached to hunters horn. The plate is the shape of a shield and about6” tall and 5” wide.

A similar helmet plate has 23 stars that represent Mainebecoming a state. This plate does nothave the stars and was made before just before 1820\'s or possibly during the early 1820\'s. This plate has no stars and is the only one known. Not even Bill Gates or theSmithsonian has this one!

This brass plate is in amazingcondition. The back is missing a smallloop. This is an exceptionally rare piece, the only one known toexist!
