This is a nice original reunion badge for the National Society of the Army of the Philippines. This veterans organizationwas formed in 1899 and was the predecessor of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The badgemeasures 1 and 1/4\" in diameter with celluloid front and the original attached ribbon. There is across with 2 red dotsin the center and the letter \"N.S.A.P\". The tin back it stamped with the maker\'s name \"The Whitehead& Hoag Co. Newark, N.J.\" with an 1896 Patent date. This is a complete and original badge that still has it\'s red, white and blue ribbonintact. The round badge and pin are in excellent conditionand the ribbon has some minor tatters to the ends.
