RARE 18TH CENTURY BRONZE SPOON MOLD ORIGINAL HANDLES:

A rare large 18th century bronze mold for casting pewter spoons, with both original turned wood handles. Probably English or even American. This would make an 8 1/4\" serving spoon with tipped end and rattail. It measures 9 1/4\" long by 10 1/2\" across the handles and is in superb condition with no damages or repairs.The handles attach to the mold by hand-cut iron screw threads of differing sizes, and both fit nice and snug.It\'s rare to find spoon molds still retaining their wooden handles, and rare still to find one in which they attach in this manner. Just a magnificent early mold.
