It is an ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC antique postcard that was designed and printed by John Winsch in Germany in 1914. Itfeatures an outstanding fantasy illustration of a smiling car filled withveggie people, a witch and a Jack o\' Lantern, with an owl flying by its side. Afull moon appears in the background while a creepy-cool red devil and anarched-back black cat oversee the action. Storm clouds complete the scene, as doesthe title “The Hallowe\'en Lantern”. Notice that the artist included a whimsical touch by having a pickle personfalling out of the bouncing automobile while we see concerned looks on thefaces of his veggie companions! The card has outstanding gold trim and it is embossed. It was mailed inGlastonbury Connecticut but has no stamp and there is writing on the backalong with the date 1915. The card has a light crease along one bottom corner but the area is stable. The corners look very good with only a tiny bump to twoof the corners. Ziz enjoys including postcards such as this one in her vignettes of interestingHallowe\'en memorabilia including Jack o\' Lanterns, candy containers,noisemakers and other decorations. This is a wonderful opportunity to own one of the most desirable Hallowe\'en postcardsever made. The imagery is superb and the condition is excellent.
