EarthHunt Lot #D74 – This is a Rare (with 8 rare fold outs maps and charts all flawless!) 1918 classic record of Jewish Life in New York City during the late 19th and early 20th century.

It is titled: “THE JEWISH COMMUNAL REGISTER OF NEW YORK CITY – 1917-1918 ”. It is the Stated Second Edition. Published by the Kehillah (Jewish Community) of New York City, NYC 1918. Printed by the Lipshitz Press. In the original embossed black cloth boards with gold gilt titles on the spine cover. The volume measures a thick 7.5\" high x 5.625” deep x 2.25” wide on the shelf. are 1,597 numbered pages PLUS THE 8 LARGE FOLD OUT MAPS AND CHARTS AS DETAILED BELOW. There are 102 Full Page Photos that are blank on the back. There are several excellent and historical articles including on Chassidism (pgs 341-346). (See the many photos below). This rare 98 year old volume would make a lovely gift for any collector of Jewish History, or New York Synagogue memorabilia. You could look for years and never see a nicer than this one as the large fold out charts, which are nearly always missing, are in this case nearly flawless. This is a VERY difficult volume to find intact.

The back cover has just a bit of surface scuff. The spine cloth is intact except for a ½ chip that is missing from the center, exposing the tan underlayer. 2) The book is internally flawless except for a bit of extra edge fold to a few of the fold outs and a minor bit of age toning to the pages (far less than normally found with NO foxing). 3) We notice a blacked remnant of a sticker of some kind on a jet black front end page. That is all! The book is otherwise flawless!
