“Valasska Suita,” published by Profil Ostrava in Czech Republic in 1966, 202 pages, hardcover with dust jacket, 8.25” by 8.25”. Text in Czech. Impossibly beautiful photo essay on pastoral glory and industrial life in Ostrava, with exemplary photography with two of the greatest midcentury Czech photographers, Vilem Reichmann and K.O. Hruby. Beautifully printed in rich photogravure and inventively sequenced, and almost entirely comprised of full-page photos, uniformly lyrical and poetic. A gem of a book – my highest recommendation. In very good condition overall – interior bright and clean, some chipping to to edges of dj (common to most Czech books of this period), small corner tear to top right tip.
