Offered is wonderful 19th century Russian carved wood box. Looks like folk art, hand carved designs on each side and the royal crown on the lid! It is made of many different pieces. As you can see, there is a cloth under all the carved panels. There is a gift inscription under the lid that reads: In show of everlasting memory & love to Sryle Manusovich Fooks October 17th, 1886. M Nemirov\". Measures 2.25\" tall x 10.75\" long x 2 7/8\" wide. Weighs 9+ ounces. In great condition, one side of lid was re-glued where the left hinge is. Tiny holes underneath on each corner suggest the fact that the box originally had feet. Missing the lock inside. Overall a very nice, rare box!
