Up for saletonight is an EstatefreshRare Wonderful Antique 19thC Small Redware Jug With Incised Pinwheels - PENNSYLVANIA? or Maryland? Possibly attributed to HENRY SCHOFIELD? The jug measures 5 1/2 inches tall, 4 inches across the bottom. It has a wonderful incised pinwheel pattern around the neck. There is an incised line below the pinwheel pattern, there is also an incised line around the bottom. The glaze is beautiful, there is a darker glaze ring around the bottom where the incised line is. There are no cracks or repairs, a few glaze flakes around the rim and handle. There are a couple nicks on the bottom around the edge but no major chips. Very Cool Piece!
