Rare Antique American Pewter Miniature Teapot, Attributed to Boardman & Hart, N.Y. + CT., c. 1828 - 1853. This very rare one cup miniature teapot with a short finial and a pewter scroll handle. The teapot is an unmarked example, but the Boardman\'s were one of the few companies to manufacture these diminutive little teapots. In the book \"Connecticut Pewter and Pewterers\", by John Carl Thomas, similar miniature teapots such as this one are pictured on page 130. There it explains that the Boardman companies were one of the few that made these one cup pewter teapots. Thomas D. Boardman and Lucius Hart worked out of Hartford, CT. and New York from 1828 to 1853. DIMENSIONS: This tiny teapot is just 5 1/8\" H. x 3 3/4\" W. x 7 5/8\" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle.

CONDITION: The condition is very good with some minor denting to the body.  The finial is very short but it is rounded and polished so it may be original condition.
