Thank you!This sale is for a rare, antique 1800\'s carved wooden toddy stick. These early wooden tools were used in the woolen mills and in homes to turn the very large wheel on what are known as Great Wheels. This particular toddy was a museum de-accession piece which still retains it\'s neck strap from the Proctor Woolen Mill in Proctorsville, Vermont. In addition, the is the name\"Mansur\" on the toddy shaft. I suspect this was how each spinner identified their own tool at the mill. The toddy measures 6.25 inches in length. In excellent condition with two tiny wood chips at the turned toddy end...most assuredly from turning the wheel while spinning. A rare, very primitive spinning tool for serious collectors.
