Foryour consideration is a very rare and unique Austria/Czech Art Glass Relic,circa early 1900’s.

Weattribute this wonderful piece of hand-blown glass to LOETZ Candia Papillon by its unmistakablygreat quality and warm glowing decor. It was purchased as an antique engagementring box in Vienna some 35 years ago and comes from a 50+ year personalcollection. It is beautiful when lit andwould make a nice hanging ornament.

The hinged dome top is a silver colored metalwith a brassy colored dove figural on the top side. The trim, latch, hinge and varioushanging eyes are a dark brass color. It measures approx. 3.5\" long by 2\" at widest.

Thepiece is in nice antique condition free of any cracks or repairs. The exterior of the glass shows little to no wear with the inside rim having some light chipping to the edge - most likely from themanufacturingprocess. The metal does show some age related wearand patina and appears to open and shut nicely. We did not detect any signatures or markings.

An originaland very probable ‘one of a kind’ piece of European art glass that would contributeto or enhance any collection.J
