Rare Antique Mid 18thC Meissen Porcelain Bird Scenic Saucer Porzellan Scene:

For sale is an superb saucer made by Meissen in about 1745. It is hand painted with a large birds of paradise scene in the center as well as some little bugs and small flowers but my favorite part is the superb puce scale type trim to the rim with some gilding and a nice scroll work along the bottom edges of the trim. Fancy gold trim to the edge. One of the best trims they had and with the quality of the bird scene this would have been a top piece for this period. Sadly no cup though but hope dies last :) The saucer are in perfect condition. It is about 1.25 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter and is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed number and a gilders mark 29.
