For your consideration is this extremely rare antique cast iron skillet made in Columbus, OH somewhere between 1882 and 1902. The foundry of the Columbus Hollow Ware Co. was located in the Columbus Penitentiary, and the company contracted with the state to use inmate labor for production.
This skillet has been cleaned, and having been coated with organic flaxseed oil and undergone 2 two hour sessions in a 500 degree oven, I consider it to be partially seasoned. It is double spouted, measures 11.75\" spout to spout and sits flat.
While this skillet is in good overall condition, it does have a crack in it\'s wall (see pics). I cannot recommend it be used on the stovetop, but it would be a great baker or an attractive and interesting addition to a hanging collection.
