From a collection we offer a pair of antique busts of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson and of Lady Hamilton, his paramour. These busts would appear to be German and date from the latter quarter of the 19th century.Nicely made and painted. The bust of Lady Hamilton has \"Germany\" marked in gilt beneath and a false Chelsea anchor. Lord Nelson has similar script to the front but no other marks. Both are beautifully modeled.In very good used condition. No chips or breaks.Please see the pictures. Measurements: Lord Nelson: 3 1/2 inches high (8.75 cm) 2 1/2 inches wide (6.5 cm)and 1 1/2 inches deep (4. cm). Lady Hamilton 3 7/8 inches (9.75 cm) 3 inches wide (7.5 cm) 1 1/2 inches deep (4 cm)All measurements are approximate.
