From the pages of Beatrix Potter we meet SIRISAAC NEWTON, #2425. The 3 ¾” tallfigurine was issued between 1973-1984 and bears backstamp BP3b. He is only oneof two figures with backstamps bearing the words “Made in England.” He wears apale green jacket and yellow waistcoat with tan markings. Mint condition.Probably because cute rabbits led in popularity, not as many SIR ISAAC NEWTONSare around. Production of the BeatrixPotter line was discontinued in 2002.All of which makes SIR ISAAC NEWTON a great addition for the collectoror anyone who has enjoyed the stories of Beatrix Potter.
