A very rare Doulton Lambeth art pottery Toby jar and covermodelled by Harry Simeon.
The figure is shown in a seated position with tankard in one hand and clay pipe in the other.The figure\'s hat acts as a lid.Coloured in a mix of typical Doulton browns,creams,blues and black with a stunning red buttonedwaistcoat.
The piece is in very good condition save for a chip to the rim of the hat - see photos.Obviously,with the chip turned to the back the piece is perfect on display!!!!
Height - 4ins.
Marked to base as per photo - Doulton Lambeth England stamped mark and number 8584.A really nice thing.
