Rare Dressel Railway Platform Lamp

Manufacturer: Dressel Railway Lamp Works, New York

The company was founded by George Dressel in the 1880\'s and focused primarily on the railroad lamp market. Eventually the company became known as the Dressel Railway Lamp Works

which manufactured lamps for railroads, inner city trolleys and railway stations.

This lamp came from the Chesapeake Bay Area.

Condition: Excellent - All Complete; All Original

Features: Karosene reservoir and lamp which slides in/out; includes all parts.

Unusual feature: two clear lenses - both in perfect condition.

The lenses are embossed: \"PAT APPLICATIONDEC. 24, 1877\"

The Lamp has an embossed brass label: \"Dressel Railway Lamp Works, New York\" and, underneath the lens on the lens rim: \"PAT. FEB 1888\" (See photos for details)
