Emaciated human figure. Represents long ear; head is made intentionally grotesque and larger in proportion to the body than on the standard figures. A tail split like that of a whale is incised on top of the head. Fish vertebrae as eyes with obsidian centers. I have sold a number of these over the years that were 19th Century and this is not one of those! Of course one of those would now be thousands! This one definitely has patina and age, so I would not say that it is new probably between 1920-1950. Stands 13 1/2\" tall withoutstand and 14 1/2\" with stand. Width is 3 3/4\". Small chip end of left ear (see photo 6). Feet have old break and nicely repaired (see photo 9). I will include small Plexiglas stand loose which can be easily glued in place with glue gun or you can allow to free stand.
