- Description -Offered is this fine and beautiful antique pedestal footed bowl crafted from solid Sterling (.925) silver. This spectacular piece has a beautiful upside-down, pear-like shape and sits atop a single, tiered pedestal foot. The impressive decorative border at the rim of the bowl sets the scene for the decadent art nouveau decoration on the rest of the body, which features beautifully chased and engraved columbine flowers and leaves over a stippled background, all in the finest detail. To the front of the object is a beautifully and unusually shaped blank cartouche, surrounded by chased leaves and vines. This truly exquisite piece of Edwardian craftsmanship is a very fine example of the arts and crafts, and aesthetics movements in art. It is a very rare and unusual piece and would look superb in any setting.
