We are offering for salea fine example of a typical early/mid 18th century Irish counter tray.

This 5\" round tray is engraved to the centre with a crest depicting an arm in armour holding a sword. Dating from around 1730, the reverse is clearly stamped with the crowned \"IH\" makers mark of John Hamilton and the crowned harp and Hibernia marks - Dublin made pieces from this period were often not marked with a date letter.

This rare dish is in excellent condition throughout and even has the original scratch-weight (in troy ounces and penny-weights) to the underside.
