Description
Up for sale in this listing is large 6\" antique German Kugel Oval Grape Cluster in dark cobalt blue color which is besides being a beautiful Kugel itself is also a rare example of Kugels manufacturing anomaly.
The overall condition of Kugel is very good. The age-related wear to the inner silvering is very light - just some dots in the glass. The pike hole has scratches and cuts around itself and cap is loose (see last 2 photos) but when ornament is hanging this is barely seen as cap moves down to the hole and covers it well.The brass cap design belongs to the \"Nouveau Leaf\" series.
The most interesting in this ornament is that it belongs to those \"Rare Manufacturing Anomalies\" described in a separate section of Tucker Beasley\'s \"Kugels: An Antique Christmas Obsession\" devoted to Kugels which are as \"double-struck coins or upside down stamps\" very rare pieces. As seen on the very last 2 photos (made in a bright sunlight) one of the three Grape\'s molds has several areas where there is thick glass stripes instead of berries. A similar anomaly Grape Cluster is featured on page 17.5. of the book.

Since I started selling on more than a year ago I have sent overseas about hundred ornaments and each arrived safe to its new owner.I ship within 2-3 business days (after receiving payment) by Russian Registered Airmail (small packets) and it normally takes 15-20 days for overseas parcels to arrive, but during seasonal holidays or due to customs clearance it can take sometimes up to 45 days. The tracking is available and I will advice the tracking number and website for tracing immediately as soon as item is shipped.
If you prefer other type type of postage, there is also Russian Priority mail and EMS available as well as various courier services which are quicker but quite expensive. If you would like to use one of those use let me know, I will check the price and advice you possible options.
