This is a rare mid 18th century antique Dutch staartklok wall clock
The case has a superb patina to it which displays beautifully wherever it is placed
The case has a removeable hood which gives access to the movement, the hood has a hinged door with a hook clasp to hold it shut
The clock case has a removeable back panel as you can see in the picutres, the pendulum swings behind the panel with a glass pain in which you can see the bob swinging through, their is a steel pin to the side which holds the panel from sliding down
It has a painted arch dial with black roman numerals and brass spandrels to the corners, their is a hand painted design to the top arch, the dial is in good condition considering its age
The dial measures 16\" high x 11\" wide
This is a Dutch single weight driven 2 bell striking movement, the movement is in working order, it strikes the amount of hours on the hour and on the half
The movement comes with its orignal weight and pendulum
The clock measures 50\" high x 16.5\" wide x 8.75\" deep
This is a rare mid 18th century dutch staartklok hooded wall clock in good condition for its age
