Here’s an important and very rare throwing club, which, isan ex Ulrich Kortmann (Dortmund, Germany) piece.

It was manufactured sometime in the early 19thcentury…and wasdesigned in away to represent what I think is the female breast (nipplelike protuberance on the bulbous head)…..Excellent patina on this specimen.

**** This is one of the rarest of Melanesian throwing/fightingclubs.

Condition issues:

The usual minor defects (indicative of much handling)usually found on all old wooden utilitarian artifacts.
