I am not very knowledgeable with icons but this one looksvery old for me. Icon’s painting looks for me as Greek Orthodox religiousthemes, and it is Triptych Icon.

It is damaged as you can see on pictures - side panels arebroken and about ¼ of each side panel are lost.

Icon is painted on the wood with 3 main colors – gold, blackand red. Painting has scratches and damaged (lost) in few places – mostly inborderline areas (probably, from multiple folding and unfolding events).

Triptych icons usually are used for traveling. Three panels are joined together with hingesto make it easy to fold and unfold icon’s panels. For worshiping the panels canbe easy unfolded, and for traveling they can be easy folded together to protectthe faces and painting content.

Size: about 11” high, about 12” wide (unfolded), about 6”wide (folded)
