I am selling an original rare small Staffordshire pottery nursery plate 5\" in diameter produced to commemorate the Royal Wedding of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert Feb.10.1840. a simple design with wording in black Victoria & Albert with a crown in a garland & date Married Feb.10.1840 pink lustre band to rim, for age this plate is remarkably in very good condition a tiny chip to reverse please see picture no other chips cracks or restoration & slight ware to pink band an historical early piece to find for the Wedding does not often come up for sale & would make a good addition to an early Royal Commemorative collection. I am also including a hard back book Commemorative Pottery 1780-1900 John & Jennifer May a first edition published in 1972, this is an x Library withdrawn copy, this book does have some weight to it for postal cost if buyer does not wish to have the book sent I can just post the plate & revise the postal cost again the book is in very good condition and a good reference book for early Commemoratives, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
