For sale is a vintage and rare pair of magnificent brass candlesticks, candle holders, probably reproductions, from an early 17th century \"trumpet\" design embellished with bold \"sausage\" turnings. They illustrate a purely English design. Prior to this, English brass Candlesticks were copied from French and Low Country Designs. They are 5 1/4\" tall, 3 1/2\" at the base and slightly narrower at the mid drip ring. Because they were hand cast, one weighs 14.9 oz. and the other weighs 15.8 oz.
