A rare and unusual Scottish provincial wine label or bottle tag for sherry made by Robert Keay of Perth, c1830. This handsome tag, in the escutcheon shape found in early London examples of the 1730s and 40s, is engraved with rococo swirls and the word \"SHERRY\" in capital letters. This valuable piece remains ingood vintage condition. The tag is stamped twice with Robert Keay\'s maker\'s mark to the back.Size: 2 1/8 x 1/1/4in/5.3 x 3.1cm; W: 10g/0.32 troy oz.
