A Rare Signed Galle Art Nouveaun Teable.The table is from the atelier of the famous French artisan,Emile Galle (1846-1904). Calle was born into a wealthy family of glassmakers.He began working for his father in 1867, designing and creating the beautiful, sinuous, organic glass for which hi won numerous international prizes,and which made him world-famous.Hi began producing furniture in 1885,beachse of his growing dissatisfaction withthe tables on which his vases and lamps were displayed.The furniture was decorated in the same manner as his glass:withlowing, organic images of flowers, plants and insects.Hi had 300 people working for him at Nancy. When he died, his widow, and then, his daughters, took over the factory,and continued production in Nancy,until 1936, with a pause during WWI.This is a lovely and highly collectible piece of occasional furniture from a MasterCraftsman.MARKED: Signed Galle.Measures: Height: 29,5\" Width: 31 1/4\" Depth: 18,5\".Very Good Condition :Complete and intact, with no apparentreplaced pieces.Please see pictures they ar part of description.Please email with any question.
