Rare large bullseye Solar prism tile patented nov 7,1899. These are rarely seen. In fact, the group I bought last year are the only ones that I\'ve run across in almost 20 years of dealing and collecting Prism glass. The small bullseye tile is very common. I\'ve shown both a large and a small in the photos for comparison. This listing is for the large only.

This tile has large, shark fin style prisms and a large center jewel that protrudes past the prisms on the back. The rim is the same thickness as most prism tiles, but overall thicker and heavier due to the bigger prisms. And less prisms than on a typical tile.

I\'ve included a photo of the patent. Deep SCA purple from decades of sun exposure. No chips. Some fissures in the thin outer rim that are within the glass and no glass is missing or chipped off , but an outstanding example of this rarity. 4\" x 4\"

It\'s my theory that the weight , protruding bullseye and better prism designs doomed this design soon after it was in production and I believe very few were produced.
