RARE STERLING SILVER GILT FOLDING CARD CIGARETTE CARD CASE 1931 ENGLISH ART DECO:

Description.
A beautifully designed rare sterling silver gilt card / cigarette case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1931 with themaker’s marks being D&F for Deakin & Francis Ltd. It has been cleverlydesigned being sprung so when empty folds flat. The cartouche has been engravedwith the single initial R.
Condition.
It is in super condition being free from dingssplits holes and repairs, the gilding is tick and complete.
It measures 3.75 inches (9.5cms) long including theloop by almost 2.25 inches (5.6cms) wide when folded flat and over 1.75 inches(4.6cms) wide when open. It weighs 62 grams. A beautifully made useable piece.
