For sale is a vintage Goebel Hummel porcelainfigurine of the Madonnahand painted in pastel colors made in Germany (1950-1957). Item has afull bee and an item number 46/3 stamped on the bottom of the base.
M I Hummel figureswere drawn by a warm, simple Bavarian girl whose name was Berta Hummel. Lateron Berta was ordained Sister Maria Innocentia (1933). Franz Goebel of the W.Goebel Company in Germanybecame aware of her artwork in 1934 and helped to transform the art into threedimensional figures.
Dimension: 16\" height x 4\" widthx 3.5\" depthItem waspreviously own but is in very good condition. There is a small chip at thebottom of the base but is not visible on display. Please see pictures beforeyou offer.
