Purchased this item from a vendor at the Honolulu Swap Meet (some 8 years ago) held weekly at Aloha stadium. The piece was not originally offered for sale - it was actually just displayed to draw attention to more modern Tapa Cloth Art that was available for sale. The piece originally belonged to the artist of some of those modern pieces and she stated the cloth itself was part of a family blanket that dated back to the late 50s to early 60s. In the end I was able to convince her to sell it to me and after years of display in my home... It can now grace your walls.
