On offer today, a lovely vintage musical powder bowl/compact in the form of a sweet little Merry Go Round with lovely little painted wild flowers on top. Top lifts to reveal octagonal mirror beneath which sits a powder well with fitted screen and puff, both in unused condition with only minimal stain to edge of powder screen. The mirror has been replaced and is perfect! There are smudges and a small loss to enamel at lid that is faint, still retains color, but is visibly missing a bit of top coat. The pot is quite old and some age related staining to enamel is ubiquitous. Base and at finial both have a tiny bit of real enamel loss all the way through to the brass. The musical movement is working and sounds sweet. Sadly, I do not recognize the tune!

Please note that this box is not marked on the outside, but interior musical movement reads Thorens Made In Switzerland.

MEASUREMENTS: 3 2/3\" across as well as tall at top finial. Stands on three brass legs. Winder at base.
