Up for grabs is a rare WWI German Imperial Type II Bayonet Made byEisengiessereiindSchlossfabrik, AG Velbert.
This company produced only 1884/98 type II bayonets for the German armed forces,making it a not often seen bayonet.
This particular bayonet was made in 1917, as seen by the 17 stamp on the back of the blade.
The scabbard is marked with an Imperial Cypher on the ball tip (as seen in the pictures). The blade spine marked crown over W (over) 17 (over) cypher.
The scabbard is marked Clemen U Jung 1937.
This bayonet and scabbard come with original frog.
