A very unusual piece of WWI Trench art from Navy shell casing. Has an Indian seated and smoking peace pipe and rose on the reverse. Nicely done and a rare kind of art effort that works well. It has a small anchor stamped on bottom showing it is a naval shell casing. Great patina and Character and a one of a kind item. Good Trench Art collection piece.
9 inches tall, 31/2 inches wide. Good markings and made in 1917.
