You are offerding on the rare, hard-to-find vhs video release of WHERE THE LILLIES BLOOM, the 1974 film adaptation of the Newbery-Award winning novel by the same name, written by Bill and Vera Cleaver. The film was filmed on location in Watauga County (towns of Boone and Blowing Rock), Ashe County (towns of West Jefferson and Lansing) and in Avery County (towns of Elk Park and Banner Elk), North Carolina.

Robert Radnitz, who produced SOUNDER and MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, made this movie, and the screenplay was written by EARL HAMNER JR., who did THE WALTONS television show. The soundtrack is also great, featuring music by THE EARL SCRUGGS REVUE.

This particular video is in LIKE NEW CONDITION. It was viewed once or twice, coming from the estate collection of a gentleman who bought more movies than he had time for. Original case is in NEAR MINT CONDITION, as well (see scan of item up for sale).

This was never released to DVD, one of those early \'90s nice limited edition vhs releases by MGM/UNITED ARTISTS.

WHERE THE LILLIES BLOOM is the story of a family of Appalachian children who live together in the backwoods so they can stay together after the death of their widower father.
