DESCRIPTION: Footed salver with gadroon border

HALLMARKS: London 1695 by PR

MEASUREMENTS: 22.4cm diameter,6.2cm high; 330g

We are pleased to be offering thisrare William III period silver tazza or footed salver.

This tazza has a gadroon borderaround the flat tray and a trumpet-shaped foot. The centre of the top isdot-prick engraved with betrothal initials and the date \"1697\". Thereis also a very faint second set of initials and date (possibly 1737).

There is a slight impression ofthe foot to the top surface, but otherwise this William & Mary period tazzais in great condition. A major bonus is the very clear set of hallmarks, plusthe foot is appropriately hallmarked to the inside. The makers mark is\"PR\" surmounted by a crown.
