RARE WW2 GERMAN LUFTWAFFE WRIST COMPASS AK39 VARIANT KADLEC ARMBAND KOMPASS NR :

This unusual German WW2 compass measures 61mm (2.5\") across x 28mm (1\") deep and weighs 67 grams. It is marked to the reverse with the model Kaldec AK39, the serial number 10139037 and the Aeronautical Material reference FI 23235 (photo2,8,&9) and has a webbing strap. I have had a search on line and the only version I can find which is similar is for scuba diving although the numbers are all the same as the pilots version this one is deeper with a moving bezel and is dry with clearly built in holes around the top of the body (photo6). It is in good honest condition with signs of use and I am sure the expert will know the specific use for this interesting variant.
