RARE WWII NIGHT/DAY SCOPE 12V AIRCRAFT TO GROUND SIGHTING INSTRUMENT COLLECTIBL:
$99.99

This offer is for a U.S. Navy night or day scope (switches to either of choice) that is in nearly perfect condition. This is an electronic item that I\'m sure that none of you professional collectors have and will ever find anywhere else. I have taken a pic of two of these in order to view both sides. ONLY ONE SOLD PER OFFER!!! It can be viewed from one side and there is a mirrored interior and lenses that you can look into in order to get the different lighting options and view. The lens has an adjusting lever for various angles of view, and has electric \"pig tail wire attached\" for hooking up electrical. It says it uses 12v. lamp. On it is marked U.S. Navy---BU. of ORD. This was made by the American Cystoscope Makers Inc. of New York. There is a switch on it that offers the choice of \"on-off\" \"night-day\" dimmer. The markings on it include #21-6CP.OS.1233. MK9 MOD \'1or 3\'. I am sure that this item can have many uses, but is a very rare collectable item. I have sold these in the past, and found some more. In past, I have sold these to Museums and collectors alike. I was recently told by a person of knowlege that : \"This reflector gun sight was used on flexible guns (as opposed to fixed/wing guns) in WWII Navy/USMC aircraft. It was mounted on the .50 caliber machine guns in TBF/TBM Avengers, PBY, PBM, PBJ and all other planes having flexible machine guns. Used late 1942-1945.\"
One museum director sent me a \"thank you\" letter for sending them one of these because their European collection personell were looking for this for a long time, and told me that they were worried there were none still available. They told me that they were made in 1942/43. The condition is fair to good, and they are complete. We ship internationally. Please check out our other various \"cool\", low priced and unusual items in my store, modern, WWII era, new, and used. These sights (or identical) were used on the Polsten Quad Anti Aircraft Gun, Heres a link to the pdf file
