On offer is this fabulous and extremely rare example of an Art Deco celluloid compact. A sort of teardrop raised panel on the cover, it is 4 inches long and 2 1/2 in. at widest point and about 1 inch thick. It has a hinged top that opens to reveal a small oval beveled mirror and two places for make-up powders and one for a slender lipstick. Make-up missing but one puff remains. Swiveling arms hold the cakes of powder in place. No maker\'s mark. Super Art Deco design on cover. Classic amber sides and bottom.
