A rare and unusual twisted-stem whip-handled silver salt spoon made by an unknown maker in London around 1760. William and Thomas Chawner supplied Parker and Wakelin with \"twisted handle salt spoons\" in 1766 and it is possible that this is such a spoon. The spoon bowl has a shell back and a patterned edge to the rim. L: 3 1/2in/9cm; Weight: 6g.
