Rare antique Americana, unusual tiny BLACK baby doll, all original outfit, c1910:

This is an extremely hard to find, black Americana, commercially produced, tiny blackbaby doll probably made as a sewing accessory or as an old-fashioned pen wipe. Measuring, 7 inches long, (total including the outfit) she has either a hard wood or similar material head and a cloth 1 1/2\" long body with tiny antique lace bonnet, curly knit black hair and cute painted features. She wears a long, printed cotton fabric \"gown\" tied with red ribbon over aheavy cloth \"body\" and has no maker\'s mark or indication of origin. Perhaps she was made as a souvenir and could also be pinned to a jacket or other kind of clothing. She would make a cute little dollhouse dolly or work well in a shadow box, as well. She has no stains or fading, no rips or tears, no damages or repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.(#3581) We will be listing two additional, tiny black, antique nipple dolls from this same era.
