Very unusual,old chalk ware,(composition) 6 1/4\" tall, seated KEWPIE GALwith her arms crossed on her lap. She hashuge black, flirtyeyes (googly, \"goo-goo\") glancing to the side, long painted eyelashes,cute smiling mouth andadorable little pug nose. She has short, painted and molded, bobbedhair (Patsy doll style) and wears an unusual, bright orange painted, little dress with black polka dot print and matching socks with red tops and little blackshoes.Originally designed by Genevieve Pfeffer, this bathing doll is seated in a wonderful, antique carousel-type, carnival chairwith fancy floral, raised design (normal surface irregularities due to the nature of the type of composition material). Probably made, c1913-1918,by the American Bisque Doll Co. as they usually had a small round paper label on the bottom such as the two remaining partial labels on the base. Similar to doll figures as shown in, \"Collecting Rose O\'Neill\'s Kewpies\"-O\'Neill & Sullivan and those shown in \"Antique Doll Collector\" magazine.She is in very good overall condition with no breaks or chips, no hairlines or repairs,few slight paintflakes as shownand will make a great addition to any Kewpie doll collection.Other celluloid Kewpie, Kewtie items shown are not included and each listed separately.
