This lovely and elegant small bonnet belongs among highly treasured collecting artifacts. It comes from north-east Bohemia from the foothills of Krkonoše mountain (Semily, Jilemnice, Železný Brod). And it is dated to the second half of the 19th century. It is colled \"Vápeníček\" (lime bonnet) for it´s white colour or also \"Půlkový čepec\" (half bonnet) because it is possible to fold it into same halves. The unusual and very elaborate technique are in principle negative floral ornaments in the colour of the base cloth made by thousands of tiny kinkles. The motifs are gently padded so they are embossed.
The bonnet is all hand done. It is very small but it was for an adult women.Measurements: from the ear to the ear over the head 35cm (13,75\")
