Rare vintage WWI era Imperial Russian divided glass tray with brass lid:

Offered to you is this rare vintage WWI-era Imperial Russian glass divided tray with brass lid. The lid has the Imperial Russian eagle stamped into it. There are no other markings. These trays are sometimes referred to as playing card holders and some may have been used for that purpose, but most were apparently used to hold cigarettes or smoking materials on one side and the other side used as an ashtray. This is the way this one wasevidently used as there is still some residue on the bottom of one side of the tray. The glass tray itself is in very good condition with no cracks or chips but could use cleaning. The lid is in very good condition as well but could use cleaning and polishing, as the top part has significant corrosion and dirt from being exposed to the Environment for so long. The tray with lid measures 7\" by 4-1/4\" by 1-1/2\" tall and weighs about 1 lb 7 oz.
