Rarest Horace Welch Vintage 14k Gold Floating Opal Ring:
$725.00

Very Rare 1930\'s 14k gold filigree floating Opal ring by Horace Welch. The ring is a size 8  It weighs 4.5 grams. The Opal face measures 3/8\" in diameter not including the stem(which I tried to show in photo). The glass orb shows were by could possibly be shined or buffered by a jeweler. The floating Opal was invented and patented by Horace Welch. They are miniature sno-globes that have genuine Opal pieces that float freely in a clear liquid. Most vintage or antique floating opals are earrings or pendants and are easily found for sale. The Horace Welch rings are rare because being worn on the hand they could more easily break due to their fragility. I own two and have only come across three in my search for this ring. Look on google for this rare piece and also read Meg Andrews article on Horace Welch. Please email with any questions. For the true collector of Horace Welch. I will ship with insurance.

Great surprise for The holidays
